Just to clear the air this blog is not written by a regular vegan…this blogger is cool vegan.
I transitioned to a vegan lifestyle just over a year ago and have loved it ever since. Switching to a vegan diet was not an overnight success. After speaking with my close friend who is also vegan, he recommended slowly removing meat and dairy from my diet rather than cutting everything out immediately. The process went from a regular diet, to a pescatarian diet, to vegetarian, then finally to completely vegan. Having that friend to support and help educate me about being vegan motivated me to create this blog and help others who are thinking about switching to vegan or are new to being vegan!
Vegan is not just a diet, it is a lifestyle. Adjusting your lifestyle takes time and patience. The most important part of this transition is finding your "why". The reason why a person transitions to a vegan lifestyle is the most important factor because it will guide their journey in the right direction.
There are so many benefits of being vegan from individual health to environmental impacts which will be explored in upcoming blogs. Just to highlight, in these trying times of COVID-19, health and wellness has taken priority. A Vegan diet allows the individual to fill their body with the nutrients that will strengthen their immune system and keep them healthy while also reducing their individual carbon footprint.
Transitioning to a vegan lifestyle can be challenging, however surrounding yourself with a supportive group makes the journey less challenging. Many view being vegan as boring or only eating lettuce, however this is far from the truth! A vegan diet can be fun and exciting if done correctly! This blog will provide readers with information on vegan influencers, recipes, and so much more.
