Feature: People's Coffee

As a college student, coffee plays a huge role in my life. When I first moved to to Chapel Hill, I was set on finding a really good local coffee shop. When I came across People's Coffee, I was blown away. Not only was their coffee amazing, but their staff and location was great! This week's blog is about my favorite local coffee shop People's Coffee!

People's coffee serves coffee from Black & White Roasters which is an award-winning coffee roaster based in Wake Forest, North Carolina. B&W roasts outstanding coffee, and is founded by back to back 2016 & 2017 Barista Champions, Lem Butler and Kyle Ramage, B&W bring a wealth of experience and supply world-class coffees from around the world.

People's Coffee is locally owned and operated by Dave Sadeghi, who also owns many Chapel Hill favorites including Town Hall Grill and Town Hall Burger and Beer.

Their drink menu features Spring Beverage Specials, Batch Coffee, Espresso, Tea, Smoothies & Shakes, Drafts, and Cold Off The Press Juice! My go-to coffee order at People's is a Nitro Cold Brew! Their house-made cold brew that they put on draft with Nitrogen gas to make an extra smooth coffee with cascading foam.

My favorite thing about People's is their breakfast food! They have quite a few vegan options on their menu! My absolute favorite is their vegan breakfast burrito! It is filled with roasted potatoes, peppers, onions, vegan cheese, Just Eggs, Impossible sausage, roasted poblano spread wrapped in a flour tortilla.

The deliciousness does not stop there! They also have a vegan breakfast sandwich on their menu.Their sandwich is made up of Impossible Sausage, Just Eggs, vegan cheese on a Kaiser Roll! They also feature vegan pastries also such as their pumpkin bar and banana cookie!

Whether you are a grabbing a coffee to run some errands, grab a quick snack from their Grab-N - Go, or need a place to get some work done I highly recommend People's Coffee! Their outdoor seating is perfect for the warm weather and their interior has a great vibe!

People's is located just a few minutes from UNC Chapel Hill's campus and is right across the street from Southpoint Mall. They are open Monday thru Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 8 a.m. to 5p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Their full menu can be found online!
